The Sculpture of St. John de Nepomuceno in Poblacion, Anini-y is a wooden statue said to have been created around 1900. The statue, which originally held a plant in one hand, features a sculpted three-layered priestly vestment and is displayed in the convent of the Parish of St. John de Nepomuceno. It holds significant spiritual importance as the patron saint of confessions and is central to the parish’s feast celebrations, where it is paraded by male devotees. The Gabaldon Building of Anini-y Central School in Antique was constructed in 1935 and is now 86 years old, serving educational purposes. Its design combines traditional Filipino architecture like bahay kubo and bahay na bato with American influences, featuring raised floors, Capiz windows, and concrete stilts for ventilation and durability. Originally used by early students and later adapted for different school functions, it was renovated in 2018 by the Department of Education with guidance from the National Historical Commission. San Juan de Nepomuceno Parish Church in Anini-y, Antique is a Spanish-era coral stone church built between 1879 and 1898 by Augustinian friars and is the only one of its kind preserved in the province.
