Sibalom Central Elementary School in Sibalom, Antique started under the supervision of the American colonial government’s public education system, and began operating in a concrete building said to have been constructed during the late Spanish colonial period. Classes were held initially in Spanish and later in English by Filipino teachers trained by Thomasites. New buildings, rooms and facilities were soon added in the years that followed. The bells of Sta. Rita de Cascia Parish Church in Sibalom, Antique, are three bells said to have been casted during the Spanish colonial period.
