Madalag Elementary School, located in Poblacion, Madalag, Aklan, was established on January 1, 1934, and has been dedicated to providing quality education under the Department of Education. The school has a rich history, having operated before World War II and resumed classes after the war, continuously producing successful graduates who contribute locally and abroad. At present, the school caters to Kindergarten to Grade Six learners from nearby barangays, within its 20,137 sq. m. campus. In response to learning gaps caused by the pandemic, the school implemented key initiatives such as Project RAPID-LR (Reading and Numeracy Assessment to Profile and Prioritize Learners for Intervention through Development of LRs), Project RAISE (Recovering Academics by Improving School Efficiency), and Project BASA (Basahin ang Aralin, Subukin at Alamin) to strengthen literacy and numeracy skills among learners. Over the years, Madalag Elementary has earned several awards for excellence, including recognitions for its Child Protection Policy Program, effective teaching staff, and efficient resource utilization. Despite challenges like flooding from the nearby creek, the school continues to uphold its mission of providing high-quality education for all learners.
