The Lapus Cave in Brgy. Janguslob, Dumarao, Capiz, is known for its impressive stalagmites and stalactites. The cave features a cool damp atmosphere and multiple exits, making it a unique natural attraction. It is a popular recreational site for picnics and even spiritual visits particularly during Lent. It was also known to have been used as a headquarters for the Japanese during the Second World War. Despite its natural beauty and significance as a local water source, the cave is threatened by littering, harvesting of organic fertilizer, and safety concerns from its slippery surfaces and unstable rock formations. Conservation efforts are minimal, with only regular community visits to monitor changes and risks within the cave.
