The Knights of Columbus St. Peter Council No. 5196 is a Catholic fraternal organization located at St. Peter the Apostle Parish, Pob. Ibajay, Aklan. It was officially organized on August 12, 1961. The first council officers included professionals, government employees, and prominent citizens from various fields, along with the parish chaplain. Members traveled to Estancia, Iloilo, and President Roxas, Capiz, to be exemplified to the Second and Third Degrees and strengthen the council. The council continues to actively engage in educational, charitable, religious, and social welfare works while promoting Catholic faith and community service. Monthly meetings are held to review accomplishments and plan future activities, with the main challenge being the possible lower dedication of younger members to Catholicism.
