The Knights of Columbus St. Peter Council No. 5196 is a Catholic fraternal organization located at St. Peter the Apostle Parish, Pob. Ibajay, Aklan. It was officially organized on August 12, 1961. The first council officers included professionals, government employees, and prominent citizens from various fields, along with the parish chaplain. Members traveled to Estancia, Iloilo, and President Roxas, Capiz, to be exemplified to the Second and Third Degrees and strengthen the council. COLONEL JOSE CALIZO LALISAN

Col. Jose Calizo Lalisan, born in Ibajay, Aklan in 1918, was a dedicated teacher turned decorated military officer who played a vital role during and after World War II. When the war broke out, he joined the USAFFE and later helped organize a local guerrilla group that fought Japanese forces, contributing to the liberation of Panay Island.
