Ishmael B. Orillos Farm School in Sapian, Capiz, started in 2001 as an extension of Sapian National High School to help students from low-income families access education closer to home. It became independent in 2005, later renamed to honor the land donor, and in 2021 adopted a farm school program to teach students practical skills in agriculture and aquaculture. The school combines academic lessons with hands-on farming projects, involving both students and their parents to help them learn and earn at the same time. This approach strengthens the community, improves educational outcomes, and helps students gain useful skills for the future. The school faces challenges due to limited land for expansion, but efforts are underway to secure the property and support new programs.
