The Guisi Lighthouse, also known as Faro de Punta Luzaran, is a historical lighthouse located in Sitio Guisi, Nueva Valencia, Guimaras. Built in 1894, it was part of the Spanish colonial government’s effort to improve maritime safety, in guiding ships through the Iloilo Strait. The structure stands 17.5 meters tall and is made of iron which has deteriorated over time due to rust and exposure to the coastal environment. The lighthouse remains on its original site and is considered a cultural landmark, attracting tourists and supporting the local economy. It is currently in a state of ruin but is recognized as a key part of the Community-Based Rural Tourism Project in Guimaras, which aimed to preserve its historical significance. Conservation efforts are underway, with collaboration between the local government and private landowners to protect the lighthouse.
