Dagway Sigmahanon, Inc., based in Poblacion Norte, Sigma, Capiz, is a community theater founded in 1998 to empower the youth through performing arts. The group produces plays that reflect the culture, traditions, and aspirations of the Sigmahanon people and trains its members in both artistic and life skills. Over the years, DSI has performed notable productions like Igun Itom, Pilak, and Dali sa Capiz, collaborating with groups such as the Philippine Educational Theater Association (PETA). Many members have gone on to successful careers, showing the group’s lasting impact. Despite challenges in funding, lack of support from the LGU, and sustainability, DSI continues to preserve Capiz’s cultural heritage.
