The Barra Cannon is an old weapon discovered underwater in 2014 by fishermen in Barangay Barra, Roxas City. It is possibly a rare carronade, a short iron cannon from around 172 to 248 years ago, weighing about half a ton and measuring over three feet long. The cannon is rusty and damaged, missing parts like the cannonball and artillery wheels, showing signs of wear from water exposure over time. The cannon is unique to the Panublion Museum and attracts tourists interested in heritage and history. Efforts to preserve the cannon include protecting it from further damage and displaying it safely for public education.
