The Casa Azurin-Gella is a Spanish-era ancestral house located in San Jose de Buenavista, Antique, estimated to be over 200 years old. Built with coral stone and hardwood, it showcases arquitectura mestiza elements and reflects both local and Spanish design influences. It served as a hospital and military barracks during World War II and is now publicly owned under a usufruct agreement for preservation. The house is unoccupied but well-preserved, restored with the support of government officials and the National Historical Commission, which declared it a heritage house in 2020. Although restored, the structure faces risks from its open location and natural calamities, but conservation efforts continue to protect its legacy.
