Joey Baldevarona, born on December 30, 1978, in San Rafael, Iloilo, was a gifted artist and the founder of Museo sang Bakero. He studied Architectural Drafting at ISAT University and was the only one among eight siblings to inherit his family’s artistic talent. His museum began as a simple market stall and grew into a space filled with personal and meaningful artworks inspired by his life. Joey remained single and dedicated his time to his art, considering it a reflection of his personal journey. He passed away in his sleep on July 18, 2024, just two months after his last interview, leaving his museum and art to his sister, Merla. His legacy lives on through the Museo, which holds cultural, artistic, and economic value for the local community.
