The Ginahod Tribe, founded in 1978 by Nathaniel Dolor Degala in President Roxas, Capiz, began as a small group of drummers formed to bring life and excitement to the town’s fiesta. Starting with borrowed wooden drums, the group grew over the years, crafting their own instruments and inspiring others to form similar drumming groups in the area. Now known as the Ginahod Street Band and Tribe, it has expanded to around 80 members and performs at various local and national festivals, winning several competitions. Beyond entertainment, they also contribute economically by selling drums and promoting local craftsmanship.
