The Certificates of Registration of Don Felipe Varon are a set of cedula personal tax documents from 1905 to 1920 issued by the Bureau of Internal Revenue of the Philippines. These documents are part of a family collection passed down through generations within the Varon-Biadora family. Alongside other documents in the collection, these certificates are widely associated with Don Felipe’s vast landholdings and his contributions to the community, such as donating land for public spaces like schools and plazas in Pandan, Antique. Moreover, these documents are essential in understanding taxation during the American colonial period. The documents have undergone significant physical degradation, with yellowing, stains, fading, tears, and wrinkles present. Despite these conditions, these documents are a rarity, and the family has taken care to preserve the documents.
