Brigido Valez Tondo, born on August 29, 1948, in Negros Occidental, became known for his talent in track and field. Despite financial hardship, he studied electronics and pursued a running career, competing in events like the National Marathon, Golden Gate Marathon, and the 1971 Little Asian Olympics, where he won gold, silver, and bronze medals. In 1974, he also won multiple gold medals at the Palarong Pambansa, remaining undefeated.
