Rodolfo Baldoza Hechanova served as a commanding officer in the 552nd Engineer Construction/Combat Battalion of the Philippine Army, completing many infrastructure projects ahead of schedule in Negros and Capiz provinces. He led the rebuilding of school buildings in Alimodian and Leon, which were damaged by rebel attacks, helping restore education in those communities. Hechanova received numerous military awards recognizing his service and leadership throughout his career.
