The HQ 603rd (Capiz) Community Defense Center, located in Brgy. Timpas, Panitan, Capiz, occupies a 50-hectare land donated in 1936 by Antonio and Candida Belo to serve as a training area for the Philippine Army. The camp has undergone several name changes, finally becoming the 603rd (Capiz) Community Defense Center under the 6th Regional Community Defense Group in 1986. It trains and supervises ROTC units across the province, including major schools in Roxas City and campuses of Capiz State University.
