Maria G. Ford, born in 1899 in Dumalag, Capiz, was a well-loved and respected figure known as the very first Filipino to have a passport issued after World War II. After studying bookkeeping in Manila, she helped manage her family’s large farmland and sugar business. She married Thomas J. Ford, an American engineer, and together they raised seven children while supporting their community. The Dose Ka Lingganay are twelve brass bells in St. Martin of Tours Parish Church, made in 1878 and still used in Dumalag. They vary in size and are placed on different floors of the church’s five-story belfry. The bells mark important daily events like noon lunch, evening Angelus prayers, and night prayers for souls in purgatory, and are also rung during funerals with distinct sounds for men and women. TUWANG-TUWANGON FALLS

Tuwang-Tuwangon Falls is a waterfall located in Sitio Aglongon, Brgy. Duran, Dumalag, Capiz, covering 0.035 hectares and surrounded by various native trees. It has a vertical drop flowing over rock formations and is the largest of the three waterfalls in the area, with a depth of about 10 feet. The name “Tuwang-Tuwangon” means carrying two things in opposite directions, as it lies between two other waterfalls.
