Precioso Tueres grew up working on farms in Tubungan but discovered his talent for art and fashion during high school by sketching and sewing dresses for friends. Despite discouragement, he pursued his passion by studying at Miraflor Fashion Academy and later opened his own shop called “Precy House of Fashion” in Iloilo City in 1985. His skill earned him awards such as Best Designer at Mutya ng Pilipinas Western Visayas and Best Couturier by Herway Inc., making him a well-known local fashion designer. He also helped start fashion pageants like Lin-ay sang Tubungan and served as a consultant for many local events, supporting young fashion enthusiasts. His shop became a training ground for students learning dressmaking, some of whom started their own businesses. Today, at 70, he is proud of his achievements and hopes future generations in Tubungan will continue to excel in fashion.
