The Sto. Rosario Catholic Chapel of Buenavista, Guimaras features a heptagonal design with concrete walls, sky blue iron grill doors, and a roof made of corrugated galvanized iron sheets. The chapel is 20 meters in length, 17 meters in width, and approximately 7 meters in height, with a total land area of around 1,000 square meters. It was constructed in 1967 from contributions from local residents and is considered as the first Catholic church in Barangay Sto. Rosario. The chapel is also associated with paranormal stories, with reports of supernatural sightings linked to its construction site which was once a World War II detention area. Despite being exposed to natural threats like typhoons and landslides, it is well-maintained by the community, with regular upkeep and annual repainting to preserve its structure.
