Romulo Villarde Loberes Sr., born in 1937 in Ivisan, Capiz, is known for his hard work and dedication as a farmer and community leader. Despite only completing Grade 6, he supported all his 11 children through college while expanding his farm from 1 to 10 hectares. He managed lands for over 65 years and earned national recognition as an outstanding agrarian reform beneficiary. Romulo also helped his community by donating land for a chapel, housing, and a health center, showing his care for social and spiritual needs. His success in farming and land reform reflects the broader struggle of Filipino farmers for fair land ownership.
