From traditions to landmarks โ In line with Cultural Mapping of Panay and Guimaras, Aklan State University (ASU) undergone writing workshop with the University of the Philippines Visayas (UPV) Cultural Mapping team at the Royal Suites Hotel – Penthouse Hall, Kalibo, Aklan this September 12, 2024.
Through presentations, critiques, and hands-on revisions, the cultural mappers delved into the rich cultural heritage of Aklan which aimed to strengthen cultural mapping skills. Thus, to further uncover and preserve the unique stories and traditions that define communities.
The Cultural Mapping of Panay and Guimaras Project fulfills the mandates of the Republic Act No. 11961, also known as the “Cultural Mapping Law,” authored by the office of Senator Loren B. Legarda.
