LOOK: In an effort to further enhance mapping skills of its partners, the University of the Philippines Visayas (UPV) cultural mapping team conducted a fourth day writing workshop together with its partner state university and college, Iloilo State University of Fisheries Science and Technology (ISUFST), at Grand Xing Imperial Hotel on 29 August 2024.

The participants, mainly ISUFST research assistants, engaged in several writing exercises and presentations of their accomplished mapping forms which underwent critiquing from the UPV team.

In attendance were Overall Project Leader Ms. Anna Razel Ramirez, Co-Project Manager Prof. Frances Anthea Redison, Project Leaders Mr. Rene Trance and Mr. Sashah Dioso, Language Editor Dr. Aurora Fe Bautista, UPV Consultant Theodore Ricardo Bautista, ISUFST Project Coordinator Prof. Genevieve Santorio-Palmares, ISUFST study leaders and research assistants, and UPV project assistants.

The Cultural Mapping of Panay and Guimaras Project is in connection with the Republic Act No. 11961, also known as the “Cultural Mapping Law,” authored by the office of Senator Loren B. Legarda.
