The Cultural Mapping of Panay and Guimaras (CMPG) Project team organized a coordination meeting together with the National Commission for Culture and the Arts (NCCA), partner state universities and colleges (SUCs), and local government units (LGUs) from Panay and Guimaras at the Performing Arts Hall of the University of the Philippines Visayas Iloilo City campus on January 10-12, 2024. NCCA Commissioner Dr. Arvin Manuel Villalon and NCCA Program Manager Ms. Gladys Argonza were the resource persons during the 3-day meeting. The Guimaras State University (GSU) CMPG Team together with representatives from the Provincial Government of Guimaras and its five (5) municipalitiesโ€”Buenavista, Jordan, Nueva Valencia, San Lorenzo and Sibunagโ€”took part in the Cultural Mapping of Panay and Guimaras (CMPG) writing workshop in Fatima Farms Resort, San Lorenzo, Guimaras on 20 September 2024. A series of events were held by the Panay Bukidnon community in Barangay Garangan, Calinog, in collaboration with the National Commission of Culture and the Arts (NCCA), to commemorate the death and legacy of the Manlilikha ng Bayan and Suguidanon chanter Federico โ€œTuohanโ€ Caballero last September 1-2, 2024. In the morning of 1 September 2024, Panay Bukidnon funerary rites were conducted. UP Visayas Turns Over Municipal Profiles for Cultural Mapping of Antique Project

On May 9 and 10, 2024, UP Visayas Cultural Mapping team, represented by Anna Razel L. Ramirez and Michelle L. Villavert turned over the municipal profiles of 18 towns of Antique. The books contain an inventory of the significant cultural  assets of the localities born from the Cultural Mapping of Antique Project (Phase I) with DEPEd Antique initiated by Senate President Pro Tempore Loren Legarda. The distribution activity was supported by Cong.
